  • How to find clean water and make it safe to drink
  • How to pack for different situations, and the essentials you absolutely need

  • A discussion on self-defense, and how to stay safe

SARAH BRYANT

Sarah Bryant serves as instructor for SARCRAFT’s women’s camping, outdoor adventure, and survival classes. She has a passion for empowering women, and helping them overcome barriers to cultivate a lifelong love of the outdoors. She also is the behind-the-scenes operations coordinator who keeps everything running smoothly – doing everything from shooting video to making sure meals are ready. Sarah grew up in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, spending countless hours off the grid with her dad & brothers. An expert archer, she’s deadly with a bow and is in the backyard shooting every chance she gets. 

TAMARA MADDOX

Tamara Maddox serves as the instructor for SARCRAFT’s women’s camping, outdoor adventure, and survival classes. She is passionate about getting women outside and confident to try new things. Tamara grew up caving, floating rivers every summer, camping, and deer hunting with her parents. Tamara and her husband started backpacking in 2009 at the Grand Canyon and she was hooked. Since that first trip, she has backpacked hundreds of miles through the United States. She currently is the leader of the woman’s outdoor group “Free Range Chicks” in Columbia Missouri, and teaches camping 101 classes with local Girl Scout Troops. She is Wilderness First Aid Certified, and is currently working on a Backpacking Meals E-book.
