For those of you who have been with us a long time, you may remember the old SARCRAFT Blog. A lot of you enjoyed the old Instructor Corps Pro Tips and Wild Edible Wednesdays posts back in the day. Well, we decided it was time to bring it back.
We know that conventional wisdom says video is king now and no one reads blogs anymore. Whatever.
There’s still no replacement for kicking back with a cup of coffee and a quality article on deck. And as an educational institution, spreading the knowledge of how to be empowered in the wild is a core part of our mission. So whether it’s posts on wilderness survival, bushcraft, preparedness, wild edibles, or homesteading… a gear review, or packing advice for your next adventure… or just an editorial, we look forward to crafting a free reference library of knowledge that everyone can partake in.
But for this to be a success, it’s a two-way street. We can always keep shouting into the void, but this endeavor will be a whole lot more fun if y’all are in it with us. Liking, commenting, sharing, and otherwise promoting posts (if you think they deserve it) goes a LONG way.
We also want to know – what do you want to read more about? If you want to hear more about wild edibles, tell us. If you want more gear reviews, tell us. We’ll make it happen. Want to make sure you don’t miss a post?
Do two things for us, then. First, sign up for our email newsletter here. Everything we write will end up in there. Second, go to your social media platform of choice (Facebook or Instagram), go to the SARCRAFT page, and turn on post notifications.
We’re stoked to get the blog back on line, and look forward to providing you with great outdoor educational content to help you learn, grow, and share with others. Keep an eye out for more to come!
